My partner and I are both extremely mini mad. I own a 1986 Mini City (The
Beast) which ive slightly sported up, my partner owns a 1972 Mini 1000 (Baby) which has generally been kept in its original
state apart from some of the bodywork and a dodgy paint job. As with all minis our 2 babes are suffering from rust,
bodywork damage and slight engine problems...
Late last year the worst 2 things happened to my car (The Beast). Firstly
it failed its MOT because of severe rust damage underneath the passenger seat but also the wiring loom caught on fire
1day on my way home... terrible.
It came to the stage where we had to decide what to do with her, scrap her or fix
her. As i could not let her go as she is my pride and joy we decided to fix her and while we were there do a complete
restoration.
With Baby we have decided to fix up her engine so that it runs perfectly and give
her the paint job of all paint jobs.... The Austin Powers - Yeah Baby Yeah look - though on the classic mini of course.
